About

Four years ago I knew nothing about lavender except the faint memory of my grandmothers scent or images of rolling lavender fields in Provence. I also never had a particular interest in any kind of gardening. Then several things happened at once.

First, I passed that magical milestone: 50 and leapt headfirst into my second midlife crisis.

Second, by chance I visited a garden show in Belgium and saw one stand with a wide variety of lavender. The same evening, I started to read about lavender and its many species found in Europe, Africa and Asia.

I researched how to grow lavender, its use as an herb, how to extract essential oil for use in aromatherapy and it’s calming effects for use as an anxiolytic.

Third, I started to wonder what to do with the large area of unused garden space at our house in Spain and whether I could grow lavender on it.

Lastly, I ran into Susanne Semjevski and her beautiful lavender gardens in the Jalon Valley, practically around the corner from our garden.

From that point onwards, I became officially “obsessed” with lavender. After reading a lot more and trying and failing a few times, I am now in my third year of lavender planting, harvesting, and creating my own products.

I am proud to own over 500 plants including Lavandula angustifolia 'Maillette' and Lavandula angustifolia ‘Vera’ and to share my love for lavender.

The scent of lavender transforms a day and provides a little "breathing space" in an ever more crazy world.

Thank you for sharing this journey and exploring my Lavender products,
